Terms & Conditions
1. By entering the promotion all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. The promotion is open to UK residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees of Retro Gamer Emporium or its agents, or any person professionally connected with this activity. The promoter reserves the right to refuse any application that is believed to be in breach of the Terms and Conditions.
3. No purchase is necessary for entry, although the entrant needs to have “liked” the Retro Gamer Emporium’s Facebook page (Page) to be eligible for entry. The competition is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by or associated with Facebook.
4. The Promotion begins on the date it is first posted on Facebook and closes two weeks after this date, unless determined by notification on the Page that the prize has been won (Promotion Period).
5. To be entered into the competition the individual must answer the question correctly. The individual who is the first to notify Retro Gamer Emporium of the correct answer via Facebook message (as received by Retro Gamer Emporium) shall be the winner.
6. The prize will be for a discount voucher equal to 10% of the purchase price of a single item currently available for purchase in the Retro Gamer Emporium ebay shop, such voucher to be used against a purchase of a single item (which will have its own unique ebay number). The value is limited to a maximum of £10 and excludes the postage cost, where separately stated. It will take the form of a discount at ebay checkout, or a partial refund via paypal after payment has been made (at the option of the promoter). It cannot be used against items which have already been sold.
7. The winner of the competition will be notified by Facebook message within 7 days of the day of winning, or via email if this has been provided to the promoter at the time of entry.
8. The discount voucher must be used within 1 month from the date of notification pursuant to clause 7, subject to the discretion of the promoter.
9. If unable to contact the winner within 7 days after first notification, the promoter reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement and award the prize to an alternative entrant.
10. No cash alternative is available and the prize is not transferable from the actual winner.
11. Entry into the competition can only be as set out in the Terms and Conditions. Any other use, or any attempt to do so, is a breach of these Terms and Conditions.
12. An individual must enter the promotion in person and using a valid Facebook account. If it becomes apparent that a participant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this rule by, for example, using "script” or any other automated or programmed means to enter the promotion that participant's entry will be closed, any prize award will be void and the participant will be refused further participation in the promotion.
13. No responsibility can be accepted for any difficulties in entering or any entries delayed or corrupted.
14. By entering and participating, the individual agrees to hold harmless, defend and indemnify Facebook from and against any and all claims, demands, liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), losses, costs or expenses, with respect to or arising out of or related to (i) the individual's participation in the competition, or (ii) the individual's participation in any prize related activities, acceptance of a prize and/ or use or misuse of a prize (including without limitation, and property loss, damage, personal injury or death caused to any person(s).
15. The promoter reserves the right to withdraw this promotion or amend any of its details if circumstances make this unavoidable at its own discretion without resulting in liability or any claim of damages.
16. The promoter reserves the right to feature the name of the winner in future promotions free of charge in connection with this competition for promotional purposes. The promoter will not provide any personal data to third parties unless required by law or consented to.
17. The Terms and Conditions are for the Retro Gamer Emporium Facebook promotion only.
